The main products are queen bee honey, propolis, honey and pollen. At present, local honey, lychee and longan honey are most welcome, and umbrella tree honey is a specialty.
How to distinguish between genuine and fake honey:
1. Smelling. With the bottle opened, fresh honey has a distinct floral fragrance, while old honey has a lighter fragrance. Fragranced fake honey smells unpleasant. Single nectar has the aroma of its own nectar source.
2. Tasting. Pure honey not only has a pleasant aroma, but also has a rich aroma in the mouth. Put honey on the tongue, touch the upper jaw with the tongue, the honey slowly enters the throat, it will feel slightly sweet and slightly sour, the taste is delicate, the throat feels slightly spicy, and the aftertaste is long. If adulterated, the honey would suffer in taste, and it would be like sugar, strongly sour or salty.
3. Picking. Check the water content of honey. Our country usually takes immature honey, so honey has high water content. Most of the honey sold on the market is processed, concentrated and has a relatively low water content. Pick up the honey with chopsticks or fingers. If the honey can be drawn, it is good. But if there is no drawing phenomenon, it means the water content is high. You can also put a drop of honey on the straw paper, and if the honey spreads quickly, it means that the water content is high. Pure honey is in the form of beads and does not spread.
4. Twisting. Observe and feel the crystallization. In summer, the temperature is high, and honey is not easy to crystallize; in winter, the temperature is low, and honey is easy to crystallize. Some honeys are easy to crystallize and some are not. Some people misinterpret crystallization as being fake or adulterated, but it is not true. The honey crystals are in the form of fish roe or oil, delicate, white in color, and have no gritty feeling when twisted by hand, and the crystals would melt in the mouth. Sugar-doped honey crystals are granular, feel like grit when twisted by hand, not easy to be twisted and broken, and they taste like sugar.
5. Dissolving. Dissolve honey in water, stir evenly, and let it stand. If there are impurities in the honey, it will float or sink. Honey is a natural product, and a small amount of impurities does not affect the quality of honey itself.
6. Watching. Look at the color of honey. Pure honey is shiny and transparent, only a small amount of pollen residue is suspended in it, and there are no other excessive impurities. The color of honey varies according to the source of honey and different plants, but the honey in the same bottle should be uniform in color.
7. Turning. Due to the low water content, high-quality honey is very thick. If the sealed bottle is turned upside down, it is difficult for the air sealed at the mouth of the bottle to rise.8. Rubbing. If you buy milky white or light yellow "crystal honey", just pick it out and gently rub it on the back of your hand for a while, and those particles slightly finer than edible salt will dissolve. Such a method can also be used to "test" royal jelly.
