Guangxi's fruit industry makes a big move! The total output value will exceed 200 billion yuan in 2025

Recently, the General Office of the Autonomous Region Government issued the "Implementation Plan for Promoting the High-Quality Development of the Fruit Industry in Guangxi" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan") to accelerate the high-quality development of the fruit industry in Guangxi.

The "Plan" sets development goals by 2025. First, the output of garden fruit remains at the forefront of the country - the fruit planting area in the region is 20 million mu, and the fruit output is 32 million tons. Second, new breakthroughs have been made in quality and efficiency. The total output value of the fruit industry is the first in the country to exceed 200 billion yuan, of which the output value of the processing and tourism industry has exceeded 20 billion yuan, and the value-added of circulation has reached 60 billion yuan, and the rate of high-quality fruit products has exceeded 80%. The third is to take a new step in brand building - the region has cultivated 10 public brands with a value of more than 2 billion yuan, and the fruit brand marketing rate exceeds 60%. Cultivate more than 20 leading enterprises with an annual output value exceeding 100 million yuan. Fourth, the income of farmers has been newly increased - the per capita annual income of fruit farmers in the region has exceeded 10,000 yuan, with an average annual increase of more than 8%.

 

 In response to the development of Guangxi's fruit industry, the "Plan" formulated ten measures, including optimizing the structure of the fruit industry, building advantageous production areas, extending the fruit industry chain, launching the "Gui Zihao" brand, and strengthening marketing.

 

 In terms of building advantageous production areas, the "Plan" requires that efforts should be made to create advantageous citrus areas in the Xijiang, Guijiang, Liujiang, and Xiangjiang river basins, focus on building the advantageous areas for autumn and winter bananas and mangoes in the Zuojiang River basin, and transform and upgrade the early-ripening lychees in Qinzhou, Beihai, and Fangchenggang areas. In addition to the late-ripening lychee and longan areas in southeastern Guangxi, the areas with South Asian fruits such as dragon fruit and passion fruit will be developed in the southern and southwestern areas of Guangxi, and the areas with deciduous fruit trees will be established in the northern and northwestern areas of Guangxi.

 

Extending the fruit industry chain will help meet the diverse needs of consumers. The "Plan" proposes to promote fruit processing modes such as "modified atmosphere packaging + fresh cutting" and "quick freezing + fresh pressing + fruit tea express"; develop leisure fruit products that meet the needs of mainstream consumers and healthy food for special groups; expand the fruit industry Leisure tourism, ecological protection, and new functions of cultural inheritance, vigorously develop new business forms and models such as orchard sightseeing, picking experience, cultural and creative science, and realize the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries.

 

Launching the "Guizihao" brand is an important way to tell the story of Guangxi's fruit brand and enhance the brand's image of Guangxi's fruit. The "Plan" requires that a number of well-known corporate brands and product brands be cultivated from the geographical indication products of Baise mango, Wuming wo orange and other cities and counties based on geographical indication products, and gradually integrate Shatian pomelo, Rongan kumquat and other brands of Rong County. Create a well-known fruit brand in Guangxi.

 

In addition, the "Plan" also requires to promote the construction of Guangxi citrus and deciduous fruit bases for export to ASEAN, build a north-south cooperation platform for northern fruits to be exported to ASEAN, and expand mutual aid export channels such as Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia; actively introduce online sales talents from outside the region, and cultivate a group of local Fruits are able to bring goods and expand the fruit e-commerce team.
